If you have ever reacted to a situation that you later regretted, then you have a trigger. Triggers are often events or things that happen that consistently take you in the wrong direction, basically when your emotion is bigger than the situation warrants.
You are not a bad person if you have emotional triggers, in fact, it’s a completely normal part of the human experience! The big focus is on knowing what your triggers are so you are not surprised by them or get caught off guard in the heat of the moment.
